Commissioned Art

First, start with using this form to let me know what you've got in mind and I'll be in touch. I will happily repaint fresh, any of the works I've already done or work from your photo.

I guarantee my work to 100% satisfaction. After I receive 50% downpayment I will email you to request the photos that you want painted.

Before the work begins a 50% deposit is required. After the work is done you will receive a small digital image and if you are happy with it, the remaining fee is required to be paid before the work ships. If you are not 100% satisfied with the image, you and I will work together to get it right. With acrylic paint it is usually easy to adjust details. If I cannot do the work to your liking I will refund your deposit, keep the painting and call it a day.

Materials - Canvas Sheet

The painting is done on a pre-treated, non-shrinking canvas sheet that will have a 1/4" margin for framing. Your framer will put a piece of foam board under the painting, affixed with double-sided sticky tape. No glass. The canvas must breath.

Materials - Pre-stretched Canvas on Wood Frame

These canvases receive 4 coats of Gesso (even though they are already primed) and sanded after each application to produce a very smooth surface. The painting can be hung on the wall easily, with a Canvas Hanger or can be placed easily into a premade frame. Shipping and packaging this type of canvas is an additional $100.00.

Materials - Acrylic Paints

I paint only with good quality, heavy body acrylic paints for my commissioned art projects. The paints I use have UV protection built in them. The painting may be placed in direct sunlight without UV glass or museum glass. The quality acrylic paint will neither crack nor fade with time.

Copyright Law

I do not paint copyrighted images.

You must be the original photographer or you must have permission from the original photographer, for me to paint the image.

You will be asked to sign a release, wherein you take responsibility for any lawsuit that might arise from the painting.

Fair Use Of Portraits

I will never resell an image of a portrait I paint. I will, however, use the image for advertising purposes at my sole discretion, to show my talents as an artist. The name of the person in the portrait will not be affixed to it unless the person is a public figure, of whom, many pictures might be found.

If you are interested in a very personal painting that you want exclusive control of (such that I would agree never to reproduce or sell the image) please let me know and I will give you a price for purchasing those rights until my personal Copyright ends.

Purchasing an original piece of art does not entitle the owner to the Copyright of the art.
